Dear MARILN Members,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to ask for your support for an initiative that is pivotal for the advancement of nursing. Rebecca Love is leading an effort to formally recognize nursing as a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) profession. This recognition is not only a testament to our field's scientific basis but also essential for its future development.
Recognizing nursing as a STEM discipline will enhance educational and professional opportunities for nurses, increase funding for nursing research, and attract talented individuals to our field. By being formally recognized as a STEM discipline, significant funding will be made available to support all of the issues we have been discussing at the council.
We are very close to reaching a significant milestone-only 20 more signatures are needed to meet the quota for the petition that will be submitted today. Your immediate support could be instrumental in achieving this goal.
